Gibraltar Heirloom Resin Cast

This is an unpainted resin cast inspired by Gibraltar's heirloom from Apex Legends. What you will receive is a urethane resin cast fresh out of the mold for you to do your own sanding/finishing/painting!

Size is about 16 x 9.5 x 1.75" (40.6 x 24.1 x 4.4cm). It weighs about 1.5 pounds (~665 grams). There is a foam core on the inside of the axe to reduce the weight and amount of resin used so please be aware that if you get too aggressive with some sanding you may reach the pink foam on the inside!

Here is the process I follow after a new cast comes out of the mold, which you can follow along with or use as inspiration:

1. Sand the parting seam and any other rough areas (I usually use 120-220 grit sandpaper)
2. Fill in any bubbles/holes from the casting process (Bondo or superglue + baby powder is my go-to filler)
3. Wash the cast in soap + water (optional, but this removes any mold release that may be left behind and it will prevent paint/primer from adhering properly)
4. At this point you're ready for primer! I recommend using a primer before any kind of paint because it'll help the paint stick better. Any rattle can primer from the store should work well enough.
